Fall Colors
With Fall on its way, what colors are trending?
Sherwin Williams announced their upcoming 2023 Color of the Year.
It’s a great time to start Fall decorating ideas ahead of the trend.
This month, Sherwin Williams announced their 2023 Color of the Year, Redend Point (SW 9081).
See how it’s being used in homes and complimentary color and fabric choices.
Why we love it?
It’s a neutral, earthy and timeless tone but very definitely a warm hue; a departure from the popular cool grays of recent years.
Warm Up The Walls
This restful bedroom shows neutral and gray-tone bedding, drapery and furniture. This recently popular decorating trend makes Redend Point an easy color to introduce with your existing pieces. Redend Point works as a stand alone color but pairs with both white and ivory equally, making it versatile for most trim work. It also blends with many hardwood floor finishes too.
Kitchens are no longer confined to white or wood tones.
We’re seeing so much painted cabinetry and mix and match schemes. This kitchen features some upper cabinets in white and the dark wood floor grounds the space. Why not make your island stand out in an accent color?
Make a desk space from any area.
With many remaining or opting to work from home it’s a plus to have flexible locations in your home to work. Add a simple narrow desk, elegant comfy chair and hey presto, a peaceful place to study or work. Elegant neutral full length drapery or sheers add to the restful theme. A fabric roman shade would also look beautiful and add functionality.
Accessorize
Show off your decorating skills by adding pops of metals, earthenware, glass, tableware and linens. Rose Gold is a perfect pairing for Redend Point. Look for lamps, art pieces and hardware to add some bling to your scheme.
